New Spec Class Racing Comes To Music City
This will be Music City Multirotors first attempt at organizing a spec class drone race. The hopes are to bring in new pilots that are unsure of exactly what they need to get started. Spec racing eliminates a lot of the hassle that goes along with designing and building a copter for racing. With everyone running the same equipment it should be easy for beginners to get help, the specs were selected based on a number of factors including price, build time, build difficulty, performance, and availability.
There is a kit available on banggood that has everything you need except the FPV gear and R/C control that is appropriate for most people.

Can be any F1 or F3 generation flight controller. F4 generation flight controllers are NOT allowed.
Any 4s lipo is permitted, there is a voltage limitation rule set a 4.20v max per cell. So you CAN run lihv but it must only be charged to a normal voltage of 4.20v like a standard lipo.
PDB, FPV Gear and R/C control:
200mw VTX max with Raceband.
We recommend everyone start buying switchable power output VTxs as we may be running races on 25mw next year.
